Strength Standards
I have used the following chart in the weight room for over 20 years with reliable success. It is based on the BFS Program and our experience. When you get average kids to begin lifting in the 7-8-9th grades, these are the kinds of results you can expect.
We have found that the average athletes have the ability to achieve the standard for their grade level at the end of that particular year. The dedicated, year-round lifter, however, usually achieves as much as two grades levels beyond their current year.

Strength Standards are somewhat new for girls. We are going to be working with the following standards with our students this year. This chart is a modifiction of the BFS chart (we are of the opinion that dedicated female athletes are capable of higher standards).
